10 Stampin’ Up! Cards You Can Make In Minutes – Part 9

I don’t know how I do it, but despite looking through the Stampin’ Up! Catalogue numerous times a day, I still miss some great ideas in there.  Yesterday I was looking for some inspiration when I found a Wedding card on page 68 which I hadn’t seen before. I tweaked it a bit with a different sentiment and accessories to make a Congratulations card.

I’m sending this card to a team member who recently earned herself a promotion in Stampin’ Up! but I think it would look super cute as a Congratulations card for someone who is having a baby, or has gotten Engaged, a Wedding card, finished school (if you don’t want to buy specific graduation images), and all sorts of occasions.  I like versatility in my products and I think this card gives you lots of options.

To make this card yourself, just follow these instructions:

1.  Cut a piece of pink cardstock to measure 5″ x 10″ and fold in half to create your base card.

2.  Stamp your greeting using Versamark ink then heat emboss with white embossing powder.

3.  Apply two types of coordinating Washi Tape to the top of the card.

4. Poke some little holes in a row at the bottom of the card for some extra texture and interest.

5. Punch out three flowers, shape them (as shown in the photo below) and add a candy dot to each. Adhere to your card.

6. Tie some Baker’s Twine around the spine of your card.

Quick and easy tip to speed up your card: You can also stamp your greeting in a darker pink instead of embossing in white if you don’t have a heat gun or for a faster card.

Trick of the trade: To make your flower petals pop up, just press the bottom of a pencil into the flower.  The piercing mat underneath will give it some cushioning.
